Are you located in Belgium and do you want to level up your running game? Let us accurately determine your training zones, maximal heart rate, (an)aerobic thresholds and VO₂max.

Lactate testing on an athletics track

Accurate training zones

The test determines your heart rate zones, aerobic and anaerobic thresholds with precision.

Track-based testing

All tests are done on a track for natural running and more accurate results.

Detailed report with advice

You receive a comprehensive report with expert advice to optimise your training.

How does it work?

The different exercise tests explained

All tests are conducted on an outdoor track, not a treadmill. On a treadmill you don't hold your natural running form, which can affect your results, and track running reflects how you actually train and race. In case of strong wind, heavy rain or a slippery track, the test is rescheduled.

Training zone test

Training zone test

€150

This test is for you if

  • you are a mid- to long-distance runner
  • you want to accurately determine your different training zones

Course of the test

  • Running at various speeds (from slow to fast, adjusted to your level)
  • Lactate measurement every 4–6 minutes by finger prick blood sampling
  • Determination of your maximal heart rate, aerobic threshold, anaerobic threshold and personal training zones

This test can be useful at any point in your training schedule. Take it before starting a new plan or goal, and repeat it every six months to track progress and keep your zones accurate.

Race pace test

Race pace test

€120

This test is for you if

  • you are a long-distance runner
  • you want to check whether your target race pace for a (half) marathon is realistic

Course of the test

  • Run at your target race pace for 45–60 minutes
  • Lactate measurement every 15 minutes by finger prick blood sampling

Based on your lactate values we can predict how long you will be able to sustain this effort. Stable values below 2 mmol/L mean the pace is sustainable; rising values mean you are already in zone 3 — something you'd rather know before race day.

VO₂max test

VO₂max test

€150

This test is for you if

  • you race distances up to 5 km
  • you want to track your maximal oxygen uptake over time

Course of the test

  • Conducted on a track with a wireless VO₂ mask
  • Measurement of your maximum oxygen consumption per unit of time (ml/min/kg)

The shorter your race distance, the more important your VO₂max is. A high VO₂max also lowers overall mortality risk and marks good metabolic and cardiorespiratory health. It is partially genetic and partially trainable, so testing every six months shows your progress.

The race pace test was a great experience — it gave me a clear indication and confirmation of the pace I should be able to maintain during the race. It also helped me realize that my target time is realistic and within reach, which really boosted my confidence going into the final phase of preparation.

I had fun executing the training zone test! It helped me to improve my training and push myself to improve my pace. I am training for a marathon and I'm confident it will have helped to improve my marathon pace.
